Meridian — an immersive site for a fintech that doesn't exist
The challenge
Could we design and build a site that holds its own against the immersive-agency tier — the studios that charge six figures — for a believable B2B product? We invented Meridian, an AI bookkeeping platform for independent medical practices, wrote its positioning from real competitor research, and built the site a company like that would commission. Every proof number on the demo is plausible-fictional and demo-only, by rule.
The approach
Research first: a conversion blueprint built from studying real fintech competitors, then a design language in the immersive-studio register — warm paper ground, near-black panels, a single emerald accent, Satoshi display type with mono labels. The page is choreographed, not decorated: every scroll beat restates the product promise.
Craft details
- Capsule physics hero — up to 24 tumbling two-tone glossy capsules in WebGL, clearcoat materials, ACES tone mapping, cursor repulsion with spring return
- "Every dollar. Accounted for." — 700 transaction particles spiral along curves into a wireframe meridian sphere with a pulsing emerald core, camera push scrubbed across a 300vh pinned section
- Motion system — smooth scroll bridged to scroll-triggered reveals; ledger rows cascade in; feature icons draw themselves via stroke animation
- Performance discipline — render loops pause off-screen and when the tab hides; reduced-motion and ?noanim fallbacks throughout
