SPEC BUILD — FICTIONAL BRAND, BUILT TO DEMONSTRATE OUR PRODUCTION STANDARD
Solstice House — proof the studio has a quiet register too
The challenge
Dark WebGL spectacle is one register. Could the same studio produce its opposite — a warm, light, editorial site that whispers instead of performs? Solstice House is a fictional members-only longevity club, and its rules were strict: hospitality language, no hype, no medical claims, no invented testimonials, price withheld — "by invitation."
The approach
A single page in a gallery register: warm paper ground, Fraunces serif display, terracotta accent held under ten percent of the surface. The one theatrical moment is light itself — a slow sun-arc wash that travels the hero over the course of seconds, rendered in pure CSS. Restraint as the flex.
Craft details
- Sun-arc hero — a traveling warm light wash in pure CSS keyframes over a radial gradient, no WebGL, still present as a static glow with animations off
- Editorial system — three space cards (Cold Room, Light Room, IV Lounge), a founder note, and an invitation flow — description over quantification, everywhere
- Compliance-clean copy — zero medical claims, zero statistics, zero fabricated credentials: the register medical and wellness brands actually need
